Does purchasing the Online Examination Voucher mean that I can take my examination online at my convenience?

No.  You must have a Certified ServSafe® Instructor/Proctor administer and monitor your exam, even if you opt for the less-expensive Online Examination Voucher.  Purchasing the Online Examination Voucher simply means that you can take the examination on a computer rather than on paper, in the physical presense of your Proctor.  If you opt for the Online Examination, you will need to bring your laptop with you.

Do I need to pay for classes again when I go for recertification, or can I just pay for the examination and proctor fees?

You must check with your local health department.  Some cities and towns may require that you to reattend classes as well as pass the examination.  In cases where (in-person or online) classes are not required, we offer a la carte options to assist you in studying for your examination.

How does the all-day class break out?

8:00 am – 4:00 pm – Training

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Proctored Examination

Breaks vary throughout the day.
