Trelfa Labs is a state of the art laboratory. The policies and procedures being used in our facility are fully compliant with the following standards:

Jon Trelfa completed his is Bachelors Degree in Biology at Michigan State University. He later completed his Masters in Business at the University of Phoenix.

Jon has personally written programs for two different Massachusetts companies, providing full validation for both. These programs have been reviewed and audited on numerous occasions by both the USFDA and the MAFDA. He has also written programs for four companies in New England complete with validation work, and has first-hand experience with the USDA’s in-depth verification process.

Jon has also performed training for food handlers and managers alike. Topics included: Basic Food Microbiology, Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Basics, HACCP, Cross Contamination, Condensation Control, and Listeria Control.

Jon formerly worked for years as a Certified ServSafe Trainer and is currently working his way toward achieving his Safety Trainer certification from the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and auditor and trainer certifications from the British Retail Consortium’s (BRC) standards for compliance with the Global Food Safety Initiative.
